A popular destination of the east Berliners is of the just 30 metre high Mueggelturm standing to the south of the Mueggelsees with his panoramic windows and the view platform, in Berlin-Koepenick in Berlin, the former capital of the GDR, German democratic republic. The adjoining catering trade area contained beside a restaurant also solar terraces. The Mueggelturm was opened on the 31st of December, 1961, after the predecessor's construction was burnt down.
