Errichtung eines Centrum Warenhauses in Suhl. Wie andere Städte der DDR wurde auch die Bezirkshauptstadt Suhl - unter Vernachlässigung der historischen Bausubstanz - sozialistisch umgestaltet. Es entstand ein neues Stadtzentrum mit Hochhäusern, kulturellen Einrichtungen, Verwaltungsgebäuden und einem Centrum Warenhaus.
