Takeoff of a MiG-21SPS with the tactical identification 730 of the NVA LSK/LV Air Force - Air Defense with ignited booster rockets on the grass runway of Magdeburg airfield in Saxony-Anhalt. The pilot and military aviator OSL Lieutenant Colonel Herrmann Ammer flew this aircraft for demonstration purposes and as a show for the capabilities of Soviet combat technology on the occasion of the opening of the World Championships in Motor Aerobatics in Magdeburg in the German Democratic Republic of the GDR.
